Our story
Good, clean cleaning.
Here at Koh, we're all about making cleaning simple. We're here to help remove the complexity, clutter and chemical nasties that you don't actually need to clean your home. In other words, Koh is about providing the essentials you need to create a better clean for your home, family and our planet.
It all started when Koh’s founder, Adam Lindsay had his first child. The more he used regular cleaning products, the more aware and concerned he became about the chemicals in them. He then questioned why he hadn't come across an all-in-one, eco-friendly cleaning solution for every surface which was also cheap and effective.
Adam approached the chemistry team at University of New South Wales to help him develop a formula for a cleaning solution that was effective for the whole home, while being gentle on people and our planet. The team spent months formulating and testing solutions on naturally occurring minerals until they found what Adam had been searching for.
A thrilled Adam spread the word about his new product, prompting fellow work-from-home dad, neighbour and friend, Justin Alexander to come on board as a co-founder. Together, they grew Koh from a local Bondi business at farmers’ markets to the Koh you know and love today.

For every order we rescue 3 bottles of ocean bound plastic through our ongoing partnership with Greenspark and Plastic Bank. Since 2021 we've also planted over 1.56M trees with Eden Reforestation Projects.
Our impact
Transforming Plastic Waste Into Empowering Income
Did you know that every Koh purchase helps us to give back to the planet by rescuing the equivalent of 3 single use bottles' worth of plastic? Through our partnership with Greenspark and Plastic Bank we help recover ocean bound plastic, supporting local communities by creating ethical recycling ecosystems. Between 2020 and 2024 we also partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects to plant trees in Nepal, Indonesia and Africa. We've proudly planted 1.57 million trees and supported local communities to restore natural ecosystems.
