Did you know regular dish sponges are treated with nasty chemicals like fungicides as they are shipped and stored moist; and contain plastic which means they take hundreds of years to break down in landfill? That’s why we created our FSC cellulose (wood pulp), dehydrated, biodegradable and compostable dish sponges so you can get dish duty done without the nasties on your plate or conscience.

How to use

Better for you and our planet, Dish Sponges are made from FSC wood pulp, are shipped dehydrated and magically grow to a full size sponge when submerged in water. Dehydrated sponges are better because they do not need a fungicidal to stop mould - common with sponges and can happen in transit before being sold. Plus they take up approx 75% less space when being shipped, so have a lower carbon emission footprint.

When you've finished with your sponge simply cut it up into small pieces and place in your home compost bin.
